From 31st of July to 18th of August, students from Seoul Cyber University (SCU) participated in the Conservatoire National des Arts et Metiers (CNAM) Entrepreneurship program at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB). CNAM Entrepreneurship program was originally designed for French students from CNAM, but SCU students had also joined the program to exchange the global perspective on business entrepreneurship with students from different background.
SCU had been very supportive of students’ participation in the program. SCU had provided the cost of tuition and the housing for the students to minimize the financial burden they may not be able to afford. Moreover, Professor Sungwan Hong from SCU had also accompanied the students to offer any supervision they need during the program. Additionally, a camera person had stayed throughout the program to capture the brilliant moments of the program, which students may remember for the rest of their lives.
The participation at the program was initially discussed between the members of SCU and CSUSB early in 2017 to make further progress on the mutual cooperation. In 2016, SCU and CSUSB had signed MoU documents to discuss the constructive cooperation between the two institutes.
Therefore, the participation of SCU students at CSUSB marks the beginning of the mutual cooperation for the two institutes. The faculty and the staff members at the college of Extended Learning at CSUSB were pleased to receive SCU students as they excel in their academic assignments. Notably, student Inji Hwang from the department of Finance and Insurance finished the program in the 2nd place. As a result, it is well understood at CSUSB that another group of students from SCU may join the program for 2018 as well.
At the same time, faculty exchange program is also being considered along with the success of student exchange program. A group of professors from the college of Business Administration at CSUSB are planning to visit SCU January 2018 to share the practical knowledge of business and entrepreneurship with students and the faculty at SCU.
