Chosen for the Ministry of Education's state-funded project (2021 DNA Fusion Short-Term Education Program Development) - Recipient of the Ministry of Education and KERIS' co-sponsored DNA Integration Short-Term Educational Course Development Project
Our university has been
awarded participation in the '2021 DNA (Data-Network-AI) Fusion Short-Term
Education Program Development Project,' spearheaded by the Korea Education
& Research Information Service (KERIS) under the aegis of the Ministry of
Education. This joint endeavor by the Ministry of Education and KERIS aims to
establish the foundation for tailored DNA (Data-Network-AI) talent development
for marginalized segments of society through the implementation of advanced
fusion education programs at remote universities.
This project
specifically involves the development of two education programs in the D (Data)
fusion and N (Network) fusion fields, along with eight educational contents. It
aims to create new educational content and courses while integrating with the
AI fusion education program (consisting of 27 educational contents) developed
in 2020. These efforts are aimed at restructuring and operating tailored
short-term education programs for marginalized groups, small business owners,
and professionals in the AI field.
Our university, in
collaboration with Korea Cyber University, Busan Digital University, and
Yeungjin Cyber University, is forming a cyber university consortium to develop
a tailored 'Big Data Capacity Enhancement Education Program for Digital
Marginalized Groups' in the data fusion domain. This initiative aims to provide
educational opportunities to marginalized groups who face difficulties in
accessing technical education due to time and financial constraints. It is
expected to contribute to the development of aspiring technicians with
expertise and a future vision in relevant professional fields by lowering the
entry barriers to specialized education in big data.
Under the leadership of
professors Lee Seong-tae, Roh Geon-tae, and Chun Ji-young, esteemed faculty
members of our College of Engineering, the conceptualization and production of
educational content titled 'Big Data Analysis Without Code' will take place.
President Kang
remarked, 'Seoul Cyber University will leverage its expertise as a leading
cyber university in this government-supported project,' emphasizing, 'We will
support the cultivation of talents to lead future society and the fourth
industrial revolution through the development of integrated education programs
suited for the untact era.
On the other hand, our university is the first cyber university in South Korea to achieve the highest grade, A grade, in all three official evaluations conducted by the Ministry of Education for distance learning universities. Seoul Cyber University is recognized as a top-tier cyber university with an optimized online education system for the untact era. In 2021, it was selected for the Ministry of Education's inaugural funding program for distance learning universities, enabling it to contribute to the expansion of quality distance education. |
