The visual art culture in the 21st-century digital information era requires creative professional designers equipped with creative thinking and digital sensitivity through diverse media.
This department fosters future-oriented superior specialists equipped with professional technical skills and problem-solving ability through hands-on education with the objective of fostering creative professional design leaders of the 21st century suitable for the requirements of the times along with the digital technology.
The segmented major courses taught by this department include diverse major courses such as those for visual design, new media design, industrial design, and living/figurative art.
In particular, it helps students acquire skills specializing in applied multimedia design areas. It provides an optimum design education environment by offering special lectures for qualifications and practical studies and seminars as well as forming major-based communities

The multimedia design department aims to foster future-oriented design leaders equipped with creativity and expertise with creative ideas and technologies converged to reflect artistic trends, design talents equipped with digital empathetic ability, personality of affirmative thinking, and communication and cooperation as required in the 21st century, and design specialists equipped with advanced media skills and humanistic literacy through special lectures and hands-on education for creating new contents.
