Seoul Cyber University Holds the “Outstanding Teaching
Faculty Awards Ceremony for the First Semester of the 2025 Academic Year”
Seoul Cyber
University held the “Outstanding Teaching Faculty Awards Ceremony for the First
Semester of the 2025 Academic Year” on December 22nd. The ceremony
was organized to recognize and encourage faculty members who have implemented
creative teaching methods in the educational field and contributed to enhancing
student learning satisfaction. Awards were presented in two categories: Teaching
Innovation Award and Excellence in Teaching Activities Award. A total of 15
professors who contributed to improving the quality of online education
received honors. In her
congratulatory remarks, President Lee Eun Joo expressed deep respect and
gratitude for the dedication of the faculty, stating, “I sincerely appreciate
and admire the efforts of our professors who continuously conduct research and
deliver excellent classes for students from diverse backgrounds.” She
emphasized that “as AI technologies continue to advance, communication among
instructors and warm emotional connections with students will become the most
essential elements in preserving the true essence of education.” The Teaching
Innovation Award was presented to two professors: ▲ Professor
Kim Tae Jin (Department of Korean Language Education, School of Social Science)
and ▲ Professor Lee Kwan Soo (Department of Bigdata
& Information Security, School of Engineering). In the Excellence in
Teaching Activities Award category, a total of 13 professors were selected: ▲ Professor Kim Sun Hyung (Department of Child Welfare, School of
Social Welfare), ▲ Professor Kim Oh Song (Department of
Professional Psychotherapy, School of Psychology & Counseling), ▲ Professor Hong Hee Jung (Department of Korean Language Education, School
of Social Science), ▲ Professor Kang Young Sun
(Department of Finance & Insurance, School of Business), ▲ Professor Park Jin Ah (Department of Artificial Intelligence, School
of Engineering), ▲ Professor Cho Won Jin (Department of
Multimedia Design, School of Design), ▲ Professor Baek Kyung
Sil (Department of Music Therapy, School of Arts), ▲
Professor Park On Yu (Department of Voice, School of Arts), ▲ Professor Oh Han Na (Department of Practical English, School of
Future Multidisciplinary Studies), ▲ Professor Park Jong
Wan (Department of Defense Industry & Defense Management, School of Defense
Convergence), ▲ Professor Kim Hee Eun (Department of AI
Creator, School of AI Convergence), ▲ Professor Yang Seung
(Department of Integrative Health Management, School of Wellness and Health), and ▲ Professor
Choi Sang Geun (Department of Liberal Arts, WISDOM School of General
Education). Professor Kim Tae Jin, recipient of the Teaching Innovation Award, shared his thoughts, saying, “I believe my efforts to encourage students to gain confidence and actively participate in Korean language education practicum classes were positively recognized. I will continue to do my best for my students.” Professor Kim Hee Eun, who received the Excellence in Teaching Activities Award, added, “I focused on strengthening interaction so that learners would not feel isolated in online classes. It is a great honor to demonstrate the authenticity and effectiveness of online education through continuous communication with students.” Seoul Cyber University selects outstanding teaching faculty each semester to promote instructional motivation among professors, and it plans to continue leading the standards of online education in Korea through student-centered educational innovation. |
