Seoul Cyber University signed a memorandum of understanding with GF Medical (Chairman Kim Sung Hyo) on June 8th(Mon), to establish an industry-sponsored education program and cooperative partnership.

The agreement was designed to provide commissioned education opportunities for GF Medical employees and to strengthen mutual cooperation between the two organizations. Under the agreement, GF Medical employees admitted through the university’s industry-sponsored admissions track will receive generous scholarship benefits, including a 20% reduction in undergraduate tuition, a 50% reduction in graduate school entrance fees, and a 30% reduction in graduate tuition.

The signing ceremony was attended by key university officials, including Vice President Lee Hyang A, Vice President for External Cooperation Koo Kuk Mo, and Dean of the College of Design Cha Myung Hee, along with GF Medical Chairman Kim Sung Hyo, Director Lee Hee Kyung, and heads of affiliated partner institutions.

Chairman Kim Sung Hyo stated, “Through this agreement with Seoul Cyber University, which is contributing to the globalization of K-beauty, we are pleased to establish a foundation for innovation and growth in the industry.” Vice President Lee Hyang A responded, “By sharing the university’s accumulated expertise in online education, we will cultivate outstanding talent, present a new model of industry-academia cooperation, and achieve meaningful mutual growth.”

Meanwhile, the university’s Department of Beauty Design (Chair: Professor Lee Hae Mi Ru) trains professional artists and educators who will lead the K-beauty industry. The department offers not only comprehensive theoretical education across all areas of beauty arts, but also cutting-edge curricula in smart beauty care and global content production tailored to the Fourth Industrial Revolution era. In particular, students benefit from the world’s first immersive content production system (VX) and state-of-the-art art-tech studios, while weekly practical lectures and extensive industry partnerships enhance their readiness for the field.

Furthermore, beginning in the 2026 academic year, the university will launch a new Department of Beauty Industry within its Graduate School to accelerate the development of interdisciplinary talent capable of responding to the global industry environment. Based on a practice-oriented curriculum reflecting industry needs and applying the ADDIE instructional model, the department aims to become a key educational institution driving the globalization of K-beauty by connecting academia and industry.
