KMOOC Introduces 17 New Open Courses

After securing four consecutive years of selection for the K-MOOC (Korean Massive Open Online Courses) initiative and achieving the distinction of having the highest number of courses in 2021, our university is now unveiling 17 courses to the general public through the K-MOOC platform.

These courses can be taken for free by anyone who signs up and registers for them on the K-MOOC website.

The courses being introduced cover a spectrum of disciplines including humanities, engineering, social sciences, medicine, and the arts, offering a broad range of educational content from everyday life-related topics to vocational skills.

Within the bundled courses, there's a "Web Story Writer Training Program" involving faculty from the Department of Web Literary Creation Studies (with Professor Kim Yong-hee and five others), and a "Basic Course for Senior Psychological Counselors" featuring faculty from the Department of Counseling Psychology and Military Police Counseling (with Professor Lee Woo-kyung and eight others).

Among the individual courses, there's "3D Printer! Bring Your Ideas to Life" (taught by Professor Cha Myeong-hee), "Introduction to Cyber Counseling" (taught by Professors Han Su-mi and Kim Hwan), "The Role of Games in the Untact Era - Enriching Daily Life" (taught by Professor Cha Myeong-hee), "Integrated Art Psychology for Self-care" (taught by Professor Yeo Jeong-yoon), "Making Friends with Classical Music" (taught by Professor Yoon So-young), and "Personal Finance in the Untact Era" (taught by Professor Seo Yeong-su).

There is an artificial intelligence (AI) course on "Ethics of Artificial Intelligence" (led by Professor Lee Seong-tae from the Department of Computer Engineering and one other).

President Gang announced, "Our university has been chosen for the K-MOOC operation project for four years in a row since 2018, aiming to showcase diverse content," and pledged, "Seoul Cyber University will strive to meet the varied learning needs of the lifelong learning era."
