The online event was carried out with microphones installed to convey the songs to Russia on a real-time basis.
?Our school's Voice Department (Chair: Prof. LEE Seunghyeon) said on March 16, 2021 that it successfully concluded the first International Online Vocal Contest with Russia.
Co-hosted by the Association of Tchaikovsky Competition Stars, the event featured preliminary contests carried out in South Korea and Russia starting December 5, 2020 and the finals held at our school's Main Building A Room 501 on March 13, 2021. The event was relayed live online, using Disklavier and high-quality sound system, with microphones installed to convey the contestants' songs to Russia on a real-time basis.
In the finals held on March 13, 2021 LEE Jonggeon (Korean) won the $1,000 Grand Prize. The other prize winners were: Violetta Pavlova (Russian) (first place), HA Seokcheon (Korean) and Valeria Mylnikova (Russian) (second place), and SEO Yeongmi (Korean) and Elena Ivanova (Russia).

I am very happy to see talented vocal singers compete with each other at the event. Our school will open a new page in vocal contest history by continuing to explore good vocalists through our unique online system, SCU President KANG In said.?
Our school's Voice Department is the first one to be launched in an online university across the world. It carries out first-rate online music education optimized in a contactless era, providing professional lectures courtesy of faculty members of universities outside the country as well as customized skills education for students such as one-on-one online lectures/lessons, one-on-three lessons, master classes, etc.
Our school was rated Grade A in the 2020 Cyber University Certification/Capability Evaluation conducted jointly by the Ministry of Education (MOE).
In 2007, our school was named the best among domestic cyber universities in the comprehensive evaluation. In 2013, our university was rated Grade A in the evaluation of domestic cyber universities. With the honor received in 2020, our school has become the first cyber university to be rated as the best-level cyber university for three years in a row and whose good quality has been proved. In 2021, our school was also selected as the best brand cyber university by consumers; thus proving its prestige once again.
