Congratulations to Seoul Cyber University Awarded the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education Citation for Contributions to the Advancement of Cyber Universities Seoul Cyber University has been awarded a citation from the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education in recognition of its dedicated efforts, strong sense of responsibility, and volunteer spirit in advancing the development of cyber universities. Our university, which has recorded the highest number of new students among cyber universities for five consecutive years (2020?2024, according to the University Information Disclosure system), has been officially recognized by the Ministry of Education on multiple occasions for its excellence. These honors include being selected as the top cyber university in the Ministry’s comprehensive evaluation (2007), receiving the highest A-grade rating in its Cyber University Competency Evaluations (2013 and 2020), and being chosen twice in succession for the Ministry’s Remote University Education Innovation Support Project ? solidifying our position as Korea’s leading and first cyber university.  In 2024, our university ushered in a new era as a leading AI-driven institution. Equipped with the most advanced AI technology among cyber universities, we are setting the standard for future education by providing a student-centered learning environment and an efficient academic support system. Our in-house-developed AI chatbot and AI learning tutor serve as transformative EdTech solutions that broaden the possibilities of cyber universities. These innovations are not merely technological implementations ? they embody our vision for the future of education, one that is truly student-centered. They help close learning gaps and support both global and sustainable learning environments, enabling students to fully realize their potential. In addition, our university has received approval from the Ministry of Education to offer doctoral programs by integrating its existing specialized graduate schools into a general graduate school system. Since our founding in 2001 as Korea’s first cyber university, we have achieved numerous milestones in the field of online education. With this latest approval to establish a general graduate school, we are once again writing a new chapter in the history of online education in Korea. |
