2024 Seoul Cyber University First Semester Commencement Ceremony Successfully Held? Seoul Cyber University held its 2024 First Semester Commencement Ceremony on Saturday, February 15 at 2:00 PM at Shinin Stadium in Gangbuk-gu, Seoul. The event was also livestreamed to allow more graduates and their families to participate virtually. A special photo zone was set up in the campus square, where graduates could take commemorative photos with their families and loved ones. A highlight of this year’s ceremony was a congratulatory address delivered by Kim Do-yeon, former Minister of Education, Science and Technology. He stated: “In this rapidly changing era of artificial intelligence, I am confident that graduates of Seoul Cyber University, with their valuable experience in distance learning, will be among the most capable to adapt and lead.” The ceremony also featured a musical performance by professors from the Department of Vocal Music, creating a warm and celebratory atmosphere to honor the graduates’ academic achievements. To celebrate both the season and the special occasion, a Valentine’s Day-themed photo event was held at the plaza. Chocolate bouquets and heart-shaped balloons added a festive touch, symbolizing the hope that the graduates’ futures will be as sweet and lovely as Valentine’s chocolates. A total of 3,179 graduates received their degrees ? 3,121 bachelor's and 58 master's. Exceptional graduates were honored with awards such as the Chairperson’s Award, President’s Award, Korea Council for University Education Award, Special Achievement Award, Contribution Award, and Volunteer Award, in recognition of their hard work and dedication. Since its establishment in 2000, Seoul Cyber University has produced 55,154 undergraduate and 1,433 graduate alumni, many of whom have gone on to serve as professionals across various sectors of society. President Eun-Joo Lee offered words of encouragement, stating: “I wish all of our graduates great success and happiness. May your time at Seoul Cyber University serve as a stepping stone for you to fully realize your potential in your chosen fields.” |
