Seoul Cyber University students donate 10 million won to prevent the spread of COVID-19 - On Thursday, the 19th, the donation was delivered through the Korean Red Cross  [Photo] The Student Body President, Lee Jae-won (on the right), is handing over the relief funds to President Park Gyeong-seo of the Korean Red Cross. On Thursday, the 19th, our university's Student Council (President Lee Jae-won) visited the Korean Red Cross (President Park Gyeong-seo) and donated 10 million won collected voluntarily by students online to help residents struggling with COVID-19. "According to Lee Jae-won, the Student Body President who prepared this donation, 'Our university students, during this difficult time when the entire nation is affected by COVID-19, voluntarily collected funds to provide assistance to volunteers, medical staff, and residents, aiming to offer significant support. The Student Council added, 'This fundraising campaign was made possible by the active participation and promotion of 35 department presidents, 18 regional council presidents, and executives of the Student Council, uniting everyone's hearts and efforts to raise valuable donations. The donation will be used to purchase disinfection and relief supplies to prevent the spread of COVID-19.  [Photo] After the donation ceremony, President Park Gyeong-seo of the Korean Red Cross and Student Body President Lee Jae-won are taking a photo together. Also present at the event were Vice President Jang Ye-soon of the University Red Cross, President Lee Eunjoo, Vice President Lee Jae-woong, and student council executives. Meanwhile, our university has designated the 13th of every month as 'SCU Blood Donation Day' and is actively participating in the Blood Donation Campaign to share love for life. President Lee Eunjoo stated, 'The donation made this time is the result of voluntary participation from our students. Our university will continue to take the lead in various community service activities through different avenues in the future. |
