?《Future Society》, a specialized academic journal published by the Institute for Future Society Strategy, has been selected as a ‘Registered Journal’ by the National Research Foundation of Korea.

This is the only case among cyber universities in Korea that has been recognized for its academic expertise by the National Research Foundation of Korea. Being selected as a journal by the National Research Foundation of Korea means that it has been recognized for its authority and expertise as a journal specializing in the field, and it is a feat achieved in two years from the 2020 list of candidate journals.

Since its foundation in 2010, "Future Society" has been trying to derive an agenda for the future society, preemptively predict all problems that may arise in an uncertain future society, and seek solutions from the perspective of problem solving, and its achievements have been continuously recognized by academia as well as the field.

School officials say that the selection of this registered academic journal has provided an opportunity to be recognized once again for the academic value and expertise of the 《Future Society》. 

In this evaluation 《Future Society》 is a comprehensive academic journal that publishes academic topics of a convergent nature, and its academic achievements and contributions pursuing various convergent dimensions of reflection and specific application were excellently evaluated. In addition, it was evaluated that the diversity and expertise of the editorial committee members, the scalability of the nationwide scale, the composition of the thesis collection, and the clarity and systemicity of various regulations were outstanding.

Kim Yoon-na(prof of Social welfare department), director of the Future Social Strategy Institute, said, "Future society will expand the horizon of asking new questions and breaking through creatively in the field of future social research. It will contribute to spreading academic exchanges in Korea and forming an archive of global future social research."

The Future Social Strategy Institute of this school will sign an MOU with Sogang University's Life Culture Research Institute from 13:00 on November 18, 2022 (Fri) and hold a joint international academic conference on "the role of communities in addiction and recovery in the era of the endemic." In addition, Volume 13, Number 2, an academic journal published twice a year, is set to be published on December 31 this year.
