The university will sign an MOU with Sogang University's Institute of Life and Culture on November 18th (Friday) from 13:00 to 17:00 in Room 205 of Building B at our university, aiming to enhance academic exchanges. Additionally, a joint international academic conference on "The Role of Local Communities in Addiction and Recovery in the Era of the Pandemic" will be held.

This international academic conference stands out for its comprehensive and multidimensional approach, covering content from four countries, ranging from micro to macro perspectives. Topics include the participation of individuals with mental disorders in YouTube creator programs and recovery experiences, overcoming fear-induced addiction with courage, China's epidemic prevention policies and the outlook on the rule of law in the pandemic era, and ASK's three fundamental laws on alcohol prevention, health, and disabilities.

The hosting institution of this international academic conference, university's Future Society Strategy Research Institute (headed by Professor Kim Yoon-na in the Department of Social Welfare), was established in 2009 with the goal of actively and promptly addressing issues that may arise in future society from a preventive and problem-solving perspective. The institute conducts research and provides educational services, consisting of an editorial committee and eight specialized research labs: Future and Aging Society Research, Crisis Management Research, Global Partnership and Unification Issues Research, Culture, Architecture, and Design Research, Future Economy and Management Research, Smart Innovation Technology Research, Digital Future Education Research, and Climate and Environmental Research. Hosting over 30 diverse academic seminars and colloquia annually, the institute's academic journal, "Future Society," was recognized as an accredited journal through the 2022 evaluation by the Korea Research Foundation.

Our university, which has had the highest number of new and transfer students for two consecutive years among cyber universities (based on the 2021-2022 University Guide), plans to recruit new and transfer students for the first half of the 2023 academic year from December 1st. Reflecting systematic student demand surveys through big data analysis and incorporating the latest trends, the university introduces new majors, including Model Acting Major, and expands and reorganizes majors such as Drone and Robot Integration Major and 1-Person Broadcasting Creator Major. The recruitment will be conducted across nine colleges (undergraduate schools) and a total of 40 departments (majors).
