2022 Korean University Newspaper Awards - Selected as an Outstanding University in Education Content - Content tailored to societal demand - Introduction of the world's first immersive content creation system  [Photo] President Kang, Seoul Cyber University (on the right), and Chairman Kim Jin-sung, Korea Association of Cyber Universities (President of Korea Cyber University). Our university was honored as an outstanding university in the education content category at the '2022 Korean University Newspaper University Awards ceremony held at the Seoul Club Hallasan Hall on the 29th. Our university operates a total of 9 colleges (undergraduate schools) and 40 departments (majors), providing students with high-quality educational content. Especially looking ahead to next year, we are committed to stepping into 'customized education' that aligns with societal demand and trends through the establishment and revision of departments (majors) such as △Model Acting △Drone and Robot Convergence △Individual Broadcasting Creator. Additionally, our university is introducing the world's first Virtual eXperience (VX) content creation system for e-learning to build a better online education environment. VX allows learners to choose one of various angles from real-time shooting and transmission of a single subject. The system is currently being applied to practical content in the Beauty Design Department, and it is expected to be utilized for creating various practical contents in the future. President Kang expressed his thoughts, saying, "In 2001, when cyber universities first emerged, there were many doubts about whether they could fulfill the role of higher education institutions. Now, 21 years later, we are excellently performing the role of an educational institution and demonstrating our ability to lead. I will do my best to continuously improve the quality of cyber education. The '2022 Korean University Newspaper University Awards' is an excellent university awards ceremony organized by the newspaper in its 34th year since its establishment. This year's ceremony involved evaluations in 10 categories, including innovation projects, future education innovation, and entrepreneurship competencies. Notably, a new category for ESG management was introduced, attracting attention. Twelve general universities, seven specialized universities, and one cyber university received awards.
