Seoul Cyber University Voice Department Continues to Shine with News of Current Students and Graduates Winning Various Competitions Seoul Cyber University's College of Culture & Arts, Voice Department, is actively discovering talented vocalists and transforming the paradigm of music education! Alumni from the Vocal Music Department continue to bring home awards from various competitions. Let's introduce the accomplished peers who have shared their success stories.  On the 19th of last month, the 47th City Philharmonic Orchestra Nationwide Music Competition took place at the Seocho Art Center. Three students from the Seoul Cyber University Voice Department excelled in the vocal category. Cho Eundeok, a 3rd-year Soprano, received an excellent award in the university division, while Kim Eunsun, also a 3rd-year Soprano, and Kim Hanyeong, a 4th-year Baritone, received excellent awards in the general division. The students who received the excellent awards have been awarded certificates and evaluation reports. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to perform in collaboration with the City Philharmonic Orchestra.  Furthermore, on the same day, at the Apgujeong SESIL Art Hall, Seoul Cyber University alumni Seo Jung-geun achieved 2nd place, and current student Park Mi-ra placed 3rd in the 2023 Korean Vocal Association Vocal Competition.  Subsequently, on the 20th (Sunday) at the Purjioge Art Hall, in the '2023 Seoul Opera Club 'Opera Casting Vocal Competition for Amateurs,' alumni Seo Jung-geun and Cha Mi-jeong achieved 2nd and 3rd place, respectively. Additionally, Han Seung-hwa and Jung Hye-eun received honorable mentions in the same competition. Alumnus Seo Jung-geun secured 2nd place in both competitions. The graduates of Seoul Cyber University's Vocal Department are making a mark in diverse competitions, showcasing their talents and reaping the fruits of their hard work. Moving forward, we are dedicated to providing comprehensive online theoretical education and exceptional practical training through our outstanding faculty. Our goal is to empower Vocal Department alumni to fulfill their dreams of being the stars on stage. Seoul Cyber University's Vocal Department, led by Professor Jung Ho-yoon, was established in 2018 as the first online classical vocal department in Korea. Through online content, we offer courses in diction, music theory, vocalization, ear training, stage movement, and more. Additionally, utilizing the state-of-the-art Virtual eXperience (VX) content production system, the university provides a top-notch environment for video production. The three-dimensional shooting technology and the use of a remote-playable piano called the Disclavier, along with real-time masterclasses with Russian instructors, contribute to a comprehensive and distinctive music education both online and offline, fostering outstanding vocal talents. Our program provides personalized practical education that caters to the individual capabilities of each student. We offer a variety of learning opportunities, including online and offline practical courses, one-on-one lessons, small-group lessons, masterclasses, and more. Our lectures are delivered by top-notch domestic and international professors, and we also offer specialized content, including special lectures. Our program is suitable for anyone of any age who has a dream in vocal music. |
