Our university is hosting the 1st Seoul Cyber University Vocal Competition, 'HIDDEN VOICE COMPETITION.' This inaugural event, sponsored by our university, is set to be the largest in the country, offering a total prize of 10 million won and numerous awards for non-majors aged 23 and above.

The application period is from 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 9, 2023, to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 27, 2023. Applications can be submitted through the Voice Department website (voice.iscu.ac.kr) or by phone at 02-944-5569. The competition will hold closed preliminaries at the university on October 3, 2023 (Tuesday) and public finals on October 9, 2023 (Monday). The repertoire includes Aria and Art Song sections. Aria entries are limited to opera, oratorio, and operetta arias, performed in their original form. Art Song entries can be Korean or foreign art songs, including lieder, with improvisation allowed.

Winners of the competition will not only receive cash prizes but will also have the opportunity to perform in a winners' concert. President Lee Eun-joo wishes the university vocal competition becomes a stage for talented individuals. She stated, 'Seoul Cyber University will continue to discover skilled vocalists, opening new chapters in vocal competitions. 

Meanwhile, our university's Voice Department (Head of the Department, Jung Ho-yoon) is the first in the country to establish an online classical vocal department in 2018. Through online content, the department conducts specialized training in major practical skills, diction, music theory, vocalization, ear training, stage movement, and more. Leveraging the state-of-the-art Virtual eXperience (VX) content production system, which is the best in the country, and the technology of three-dimensional shooting, along with the use of a remotely playable piano called the Disclavier, the department provides systematic and differentiated music education. Real-time masterclasses with instructors from Russia contribute to nurturing exceptional vocal talents both online and offline.

The program ensures personalized practical education, incorporating both online and offline courses, 1:1 lessons, small-group sessions, masterclasses, and more, tailored to students' capabilities. With expert content from top domestic and international professors, it stands as the optimal choice for anyone with a passion for vocal music, spanning all age groups.
