The Beauty Design Department of our university's Beauty Creator Contest receives official support from the Korea Committee of the WorldSkills Competition.

On the 22nd, the Beauty Design Department was chosen for the 2022 Private Skills Competition Support Project by the Korea Committee of the WorldSkills Competition. Institutions selected for this project are authorized to use the official sponsorship names of the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the Korea Industrial Human Resources Development Institute, and the Korea Committee of the WorldSkills Competition.

Accordingly, our university will change the competition name to '2022 SCU Beauty Online Skills Competition' and will hold the competition in November. The competition will feature four core vocational areas: hair, makeup, skincare, and nail art.

Outstanding institutions or organizations selected through evaluation will receive the Chairman's Award from the Korea Committee of the WorldSkills Competition.

Chae Myeong-hee, the head of the Beauty Design Department, expressed, "Hosting the online skills competition at Seoul Cyber University, a pioneer in cyber education, will enable us to nurture beauty professionals equipped with essential skills to lead the K-beauty industry."

The Beauty Design Department of our university is committed to educating beauty professionals with a unique and international sensibility, capable of excelling in various fields including skincare, special makeup and cosmetics, hair styling, and nail art. Our objective is to foster visionary and proactive leaders in the beauty industry who can lead with creativity and innovation on a global scale.

The Beauty Design Department offers a comprehensive education where students obtain a bachelor's degree and a comprehensive beauty license simultaneously upon graduation. We host regular offline special lectures by professors on the latest beauty trends to enhance students' practical skills. Additionally, we provide various industry-academic partnerships and post-graduation employment programs to deliver high-quality education. Moreover, we have introduced the world's first "Virtual eXperience (VX)" system through the latest Art Tech Studio, allowing students to experience immersive learning. To accurately convey the practical-oriented curriculum of the Beauty Design Department, we offer streaming videos captured from multiple angles and multiple cameras mounted on a multi-camera array, allowing students to choose and view videos from desired angles through drag or swipe motions, providing an immersive educational environment.
