Global Trade and Logistics Department Professor Lee Wan-hyeong's book, selected as an excellent academic book by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Academy of Sciences - Digital Business Transformation: Understanding Management in the Fourth Industrial Revolution Era', recognized as an exceptional academic publication in the field of social sciences  [Photo] Front Cover of 'Digital Business Transformation: Understanding Management in the Fourth Industrial Revolution Era In 2020, Professor Lee Wan-hyeong, the head of the Global Trade and Logistics Department, had his book 'Digital Business Transformation: Understanding Management in the Era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution' selected as an outstanding academic publication in the social sciences. The outstanding academic books selected by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Academy of Sciences for the year 2020 are chosen through comprehensive evaluation by a review committee composed of academic society members and experts. The selection aims to share and disseminate outstanding research outcomes and to promote the activation of research and authorship activities in fundamental academic fields. The evaluation encompasses professionalism, originality, and academic contributions of the content authored, conducted by the committee consisting of scholars and professionals. The Korea Academy of Sciences plans to supply a total of 2.6 billion won worth of books to domestic university libraries in the second half of this year after surveying the demand from universities for the outstanding academic books selected this time. Digital Business Transformation: Understanding Management in the Fourth Industrial Revolution Era' examines the changes in modern society triggered by digital innovation from a business perspective. It introduces corporate business strategies in the transformed corporate ecosystem and digital environment, summarizing the changes resulting from the Fourth Industrial Revolution from a business standpoint. The book systematically presents theories and cases related to the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The author, Professor Lee Wan-hyeong, is currently serving as a professor in the Department of Global Trade and Logistics at Seoul Cyber University. His published works include 'International Trade' and 'Global Economic Management'. Professor Lee Wan-hyeong, the head of the Department of Global Trade and Logistics, expressed great satisfaction at being selected for the outstanding academic book this time, stating, 'I feel a great sense of fulfillment.' He also added, 'In the future, we will further accelerate our research efforts to adapt to the changing Fourth Industrial Revolution era. The Department of Global Trade and Logistics at Seoul Cyber University covers both theoretical and practical aspects of trade, logistics, and distribution in its educational curriculum, aiming to cultivate experts in the field of global trade and logistics. On another note, our university recently closed the first round of admissions for new and transfer students for the second half of the 2020 academic year. The competition ratio for regular admissions was approximately 3:1, while that for the equal opportunity for education admissions was about 2:1, reflecting a high level of interest as admissions concluded. Furthermore, Seoul Cyber University has secured the top position in the 2020 Cyber University Brand Reputation Analysis for seven consecutive months, affirming its status as a leader in online education. |
