SCU, Best Brand of 2021 by Consumer Choice - Our university was awarded the top prize in the cyber university category - Hosted by JoongAng Ilbo Forbes Korea, sponsored by the Ministry of Science, ICT, and Future Planning, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and supported by JTBC  [Photo] At the 2021 Consumer-Selected Best Brand Awards ceremony held at the Millennium Seoul Hilton Hotel on the 4th (Thursday), our university won the top prize in the cyber university category. Our university was honored with the top prize in the cyber university category. Sponsored by the Ministry of Science, ICT, and Future Planning, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, and supported by JTBC, this event recognizes and awards outstanding brands. Our university was honored with the Korea Herald's Best Brand Award for being the most beloved brand among the citizens of South Korea in 2020. Additionally, we achieved the top position in the cyber university category for two consecutive years in the 2020 Korea Consumer Evaluation Best Brand Awards.  [Photo] President Kang (on the right) and Vice President for External Cooperation, Gu Gook-mo, are posing for a commemorative photo after receiving the 2021 Consumer-Selected Best Brand Award President Kang remarked, "I consider this award of the Consumer-Selected Best Brand to be a great honor bestowed upon our university for its endless development in leading online education in South Korea." He further added, "We will continue to pioneer the future of university education and spare no effort in dedication to the growth of our students." Our university has established an education system tailored for the future of online learning, enhancing the quality of distance education. As the first institution in South Korea to receive accreditation as a cyber university in 2000, we pioneered online education and introduced mobile lecture services, becoming the frontrunner in forward-thinking online education by establishing an educational system free from constraints of time and place. Our university received the highest grade, A, in the '2020 Remote University Certification and Competency Assessment,' organized by the Ministry of Education and the Korea Educational Development Institute. Following our recognition as the top university in the comprehensive evaluation of remote universities in 2007 and receiving an A grade in the Cyber University Level Evaluation in 2013, we continued our streak by obtaining an A grade in the 2020 Remote University Certification and Competency Assessment. This achievement marks us as the first cyber university to receive three consecutive A grades in official evaluations by the Ministry of Education. |
