Our university has been selected for the K-MOOC (Korean Massive Open Online Course) project for four consecutive years, enabling us to offer excellent courses from Seoul Cyber University to the general public.

Our university has achieved a remarkable feat by having a total of five courses selected, the highest among participating institutions. Additionally, we are proud to be the only cyber university selected for a bundled course.

With the digital transition and demographic changes due to the COVID-19 pandemic, lifelong learning has become essential. In this era, K-MOOC has seen a significant increase in interest from both universities and learners. Since its launch in October 2015 until the end of December 2020, there have been 17.64 million visits, 1.69 million course enrollments, and 739,000 new member registrations.

In this selection, our university, along with EBS, JTBC, and 24 other universities including Korea University and Sungkyunkwan University, has been chosen. This selection lays the groundwork for the qualitative enhancement of adult online learning.

The selected bundle course is the "Basic Course for Elderly Psychological Counseling" led by Professor Lee Jung-won from the Department of Military Counseling along with 8 other instructors. It consists of five subjects: "Life-span Development and Elderly Psychology" (Professors Koo Hee-jeong and Heo Myo-yeon), "Theory and Techniques of Elderly Counseling" (Professor Lee Jung-won), "Elderly Issues and Psychological Assessment" (Professors Lee Woo-kyung and Park Eun-hee), "Practice of Elderly Counseling" (Professors Cho Yoon-jeong and Yeo Jeong-yun), and "Understanding Elderly Counseling" (Professors Kim Eun-joo and Kim Mi-na). This course is designed to enhance the basic psychological knowledge necessary for elderly counseling and to strengthen the practical skills and competencies of elderly counselors.

The individually selected courses consist of a total of four courses.
The course selected from the Department of Beauty Design, taught by Professor Cha Myung-hee, titled "The Role of Games in the Untact Era ? Enriching Daily Life," focuses on cultivating a healthy family culture through recreational games enjoyed with children during the stay-at-home era. It aims to enhance the positive aspects of gaming to foster a healthy family culture.

The course "Integrated Art Psychology for Self-Care," offered by Professor Ye Jung-yoon from the Department of Music Therapy along with three others, focuses on self-care through integrated art psychology, including music therapy, amid the COVID-19 situation. It is designed to teach and experience self-care for mental well-being using various methods of art therapy.

The course "Lifestyle Finance in the Untact Era," taught by Professor Seo Young-soo from the Department of Finance and Insurance, aims to provide a systematic understanding of untact financial transactions, credit management, and risk management. It is designed to help students learn investment principles and operational strategies for untact financial products and apply them effectively in real life.

Professor Yoon So-young's course, "Making Friends with Classical Music," is a cultural education project aimed at breaking the misconception that classical music is difficult and boring, making it more accessible and enjoyable for the general public. The course lowers the entry barrier by introducing the history of classical music, the stories behind famous masterpieces, and providing expert but easily understandable listening tips. It aims to convey that classical music is not just a sophisticated art form but also enriches life with happiness.

The course will be open to the general public through the K-MOOC platform (www.kmooc.kr) at the end of this year.
President 강인 stated, "Our university has been selected for the K-MOOC operation project for four consecutive years since 2018, and we are committed to presenting diverse content." He added, "We will continue to utilize the optimal system to meet the social demand for education in the untact era to the best of our ability."

Our university, as the first cyber university in South Korea, has achieved the highest rating of A grade in the '2020 Remote University Certification and Competency Assessment' conducted by the Ministry of Education. This marks the third consecutive time our university has received the A grade in official evaluations by the Ministry of Education, following our recognition as the top-tier university in remote education assessments since 2007 and receiving an A grade in the cyber university evaluation in 2013. Thus, we proudly stand as the first cyber university in South Korea to achieve three consecutive A grades in official evaluations conducted by the Ministry of Education.
