- First Financial Support Program from the Ministry of Education for Remote Universities

- Enrollment for New and Transfer Students for the Second Semester of the 2021 Academic Year Starts on June 1st (Tuesday)

Our university has been selected for the "2021 Remote University Education Innovation Support Project" conducted by the Ministry of Education, the Korea Education and Research Information Service, and the Korea Association for Open Education.

The establishment of the "Remote University Education Innovation Support Project" this year by the Ministry of Education is a response to the surge in demand for remote education and adult non-face-to-face learning following the COVID-19 pandemic. It aims to provide financial support for the development and dissemination of diverse remote education models.

Seoul Cyber University, Digital Seoul Culture & Arts University, Busan Digital University, and Hanyang Cyber University have been chosen for the inaugural financial support program for remote universities. Over the next three years, they will receive an average annual grant of 350 million won. This funding will be utilized to establish specialized interdisciplinary majors and departments, innovative educational programs, and to implement and disseminate integrated education models, enhancing the educational capacity of the universities and strengthening adult professional skills, while facilitating concurrent work-study education.

The selected universities will receive financial support in a 2+1-year structure. The first two years will mainly focus on business management through professional consulting services, and adjustments to the project budget for each remote university will be made based on the evaluation scores after the 2-year stage evaluation.

Seoul Cyber University has systematically designed an innovative model by integrating the 'On-Flex Teaching Model,' which emphasizes flexible online teaching and learning to enhance military talent, with three major areas of innovation, seven programs, and 18 sub-projects.

President Kang stated, "Our university is at the forefront of future-oriented online education with dignified lectures that respond to the untact era." He continued, "Through the establishment of the On-Flex education infrastructure, we will lead future education in the post-COVID era."

Furthermore, our university has been distinguished as the pioneer cyber university in South Korea to consistently secure an A grade in three consecutive official evaluations conducted by the Ministry of Education. This esteemed recognition follows our attainment of the highest rating of A grade in the "2020 Remote University Certification and Competency Diagnosis," announced by the Ministry of Education on January 29th. Prior to this accomplishment, our university had already earned the prestigious title of the top-rated university in the comprehensive assessment of remote universities in 2007 and had received an A grade in the 2013 cyber university level evaluation.

Starting from Tuesday, June 1st, the recruitment for new and transfer students for the second semester of the 2021 academic year will commence. There are a total of 8 colleges (departments) and 38 majors (specializations), including: Social Welfare, Elderly Welfare, Welfare Management, Child Welfare, Youth Welfare majors. Counseling Psychology, Family Coaching Counseling, Military Counseling, Special Psychological Therapy majors. Real Estate, Legal Administration, Health Administration, Korean Language and Culture majors. Business Administration, Global Trade Logistics, Finance Insurance, Tax Accounting majors. Software Convergence, International Cooperation & North Korea Studies, Career & Vocational Counseling, National Defense Convergence Management, Online Commerce, Robotics Convergence (newly established), Safety Management (newly established), Individual Broadcasting (newly established) majors. Computer Engineering, Big Data & Information Security, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Control Engineering majors. Multimedia Design, Architectural Space Design, Web & Literature Creation, Beauty Design (newly established) majors. Cultural Arts Management, Piano, Vocal Music, Practical Music, Music Therapy majors, and more.

Additionally, Seoul Cyber University Graduate School will be recruiting new students for the fall term starting from Monday, May 24th. They are recruiting for the Master's program in Social Welfare, and anyone with a bachelor's degree or higher is eligible to apply.
