SCU's Capacity Building of Elearning System in El Salvador Begins | |||

SCU conducted assessment in San Salvador, the capital of El Salvador, for its Capacity Building Project of E-learning System in El Salvador from February 19, 2018 through March 2, 2019.
This project is funded by KOICA. SCU's partner organizations are University of El Salvador(UES) and University of Technology in El Salvador(UTEC). Ministry of Education of El Salvador plans to expand e-learning in El Salvador if the project is successful.
In March 2018, a meeting was held in the auditorium of UTEC to announce plans for the project. It was attended by Dr. Youngae JUNG Yeongeh, vice-president of SCU, Mr. Jongsu LEE, the representative of the office of KOICA in El Salvador, Dr. Francisco, the dean of the department of EUS, and other stakeholders. From the government, staffs in the higher education sector of ministry of education attended.

The assessment for 7 day included group interview with learners and students, analysis of their needs, workshops, and meeting with Ministry of Education.
Dr. Yeongae JUNG, the vice president of SCU commented "Thanks to the help and support of local organizations, we successfully completed the assessment. SCU intends to share our experience of the e-learning system with universities in El Salvador and around the world. As a leading university in the industry of global e-learning system, SCU will continue to improve the image of Korea, and contribute to the nation's development."
