SCOPUS is the world’s largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature (180,000 journals are registered on this database). The National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF) considers academic journals registered on SCOPUS to have a level identical to journals registered on SCI. It is used as a key standard in evaluating the research level and competency of local universities and research foundations.
In preparation for the contactless era, SCU has conducted a research on Internet-based Cognitive Behavioral Therapy jointly with Stockholm University since 2018. Research has been conducted in diverse areas including depression, anxiety disorders, trauma, and procrastination. As a work among the research tasks, a research report on procrastination was published in the SCOPUS-registered Cogent Psychology Vol. 7 Issue 1. The procrastination of tasks or duties was measured to assess the procrastination-related behaviors among Koreans.
The joint research team consists of SCU counseling psychology department professors Kim Hwan, Kim Hyeonjin, Lee Yukyeong, and Han Sumi, and Professor Per Carlbring of Stockholm University, and Professor Alexander Rozental of Karolinska Institutet, Sweden. SCU plans to support this research project in phased implementation based on its current achievements, including research on the deployment of a platform that will provide online education and psychology service.
