Our school has been selected for the 2021 DNA (Data-Network-AI) convergence short-term curricula development program promoted by KERIS, an organization under the umbrella of MOE. Said program, which is co-hosted by MOE and KERIS, aims to lay the groundwork for training customized DNA-related human resources for underprivileged classes of people through the development of in-depth convergence curricula.
Specifically, said program aims to develop two curricula (data/network convergence) and eight types of educational contents. Its program set for 2020 includes promotion of development for the re-composition of underprivileged classes of people, small business owners, and those engaging in AI into customized short-term education courses in linkage with the previously developed AI convergence education courses (with 27 types of education contents).
Our university intends to create a consortium with the Cyber University of Korea, Busan Digital University, and Yeungjin Cyber University to engage in the development of education courses for strengthening customized big data capability for digitally underprivileged classes of people in the sector of data convergence. We seek to provide education opportunities to the underprivileged who find it difficult to receive technical education due to lack of time or economic means and lower the entry barrier to education specializing in big data to train future professionals with grand visions.
Profs. LEE Seongtae, RO Geontae, and CHEON Jiyeong of our school will play the leading role in planning and production of educational contents titled codeless big data analysis that you can follow.
"SCU will introduce the knowhow accumulated by us as the No.1 cyber university through the program provided with support from national treasury. We will engage in the work for the development of convergence curricula in keeping with the contactless era in an effort to train human resources who will play the leading role in the quaternary industry in future society, SCU President KANG In said.
Our school has garnered a grade of A in MOE's three official evaluations of cyber universities, the first to have achieved such feat among domestic cyber universities. As undisputed No.1 cyber university in the country, SCU is equipped with a unique online education system optimized for the contactless era.
In 2021, we were selected for the program on supporting cyber universities' education reform, which is MOE's first financial support program for cyber universities. Thus, we will be able to contribute more to the expansion of updated online education demand and dissemination of good-quality remote education through the establishment of the relevant infrastructure.
