From May 21^st(Wed) to May 24^th(Sat), our university conducted the 28^th Overseas Historical and Cultural Exploration Program.

This flagship program, proudly offered by our university, aims to enhance students’ "literary and artistic literacy" through cultural and artistic insight and knowledge, as well as strengthen their "global citizenship" by deepening their understanding of diverse cultures. It provides students with the opportunity to explore international cultural sites and experience prestigious institutions abroad.

This year’s destination was Shanghai, China, and 24 students along with university staff participated in the program to further develop their competencies. During the program, participants will visit various historical and cultural landmarks across Shanghai and gain a wide range of experiences.

Now in its 28th year, the Overseas Historical and Cultural Exploration Program has taken students to countries such as Japan, China, Cambodia, Australia, the Philippines, Uzbekistan, Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, Vietnam, Russia, Taiwan, and Mongolia. Through these visits, students gain a deeper understanding of each country’s history and broaden their international perspective through cultural exchange.

President Lee Eun-joo stated, “I hope this exploration becomes a valuable opportunity for participants to expand their knowledge and global outlook,” and added, “Our university will continue to lead the way in fostering global leaders through a wider range of global programs that maximize our students’ international competencies.”
