As part of the university's community outreach program, Dr. Jo Young-gwang, a veterinarian, will present a special lecture titled 'Cats Are Not Small Dogs!' on December 5th (Saturday) at 2 p.m. Tune in to Seoul Cyber University's YouTube channel.

Not only new and transfer students, current students, and graduates of Seoul Cyber University, but also students from other universities, as well as anyone interested in companion animals, are welcome to attend.

Seoul Cyber University, in preparation for the 2021 admissions, has been organizing continuous online special lectures sponsored by each regional student council to promote social sharing of knowledge. Recently, they have unveiled lectures such as '2020 Makeup Trends' hosted by Gyeonggi South, 'Popular Music in the Post-COVID Era' hosted by Seoul, 'The Art of Complimenting' hosted by Incheon, and '2020 Winter Hair Trends' hosted by Daejeon and Chungcheong regions. Additionally, 11 other regions will also be hosting similar lectures as part of this ongoing special lecture series.

The veterinarian conducting this special lecture, Jo Young-gwang, currently serves as a resident veterinarian at the Seoul National University College of Veterinary Medicine Animal Hospital. He has also appeared on MBC's 'Unique Doctor Special' and SKY Petpark's 'My Pet Counseling,' providing consultations on animal-related issues. Known for his love of travel, he has authored books such as 'Crazy Veterinarian, Stealing Maps' and 'Veterinarian, Meeting Youth on the Streets,' in addition to appearing on EBS's 'World Travel Theme: Zambia' episode, where he shares travel stories. He continues to actively engage in various activities.

This special lecture, 'A Cat is Not a Small Dog!', will delve into the increasing trend of pet ownership and the changing dynamics of companion animals in our society. It will explore the differences between dogs and cats, as well as their unique charms, in line with the growing number of households with pets.

Given the COVID-19 pandemic and the rise of untact (non-face-to-face) interactions, the lecture will be available for viewing on the Seoul Cyber University YouTube channel, eliminating the need for campus visits.

Vice President Lee Jae-woong stated, 'Our university is committed to sharing knowledge through various untact special lectures, including online festivals.' He added, 'In addition to this special lecture, we will continue to hold special moments with student councils nationwide through diverse special lectures in various fields.
