General Graduate School 2026 Spring Semester New Student
Admissions Begin
The General Graduate
School has begun recruiting new students for the Spring 2026 semester. Applications are
being accepted until December 26th (Fri), for master’s and doctoral
programs in the following departments: Social Welfare, Psychology & Counseling,
Beauty Industry Studies, Music, and AI Convergence Technology. Applications can
be submitted through the Seoul Cyber University Graduate School website
(grad.iscu.ac.kr). The Department of
Social Welfare, the first master’s and doctoral program of its kind established
at a cyber university, aims to cultivate innovative leaders in social welfare
who can guide the development of a sustainable society. To nurture practical
social welfare professionals capable of responding to rapidly changing social
environments, the program offers specialized education in three core areas:
Social Welfare Policy and Administration, Clinical Social Work Practice, and
Social Welfare Data Analysis. The curriculum includes specialized courses for
each track, along with related research groups, field trips, and practicum
programs. A customized curriculum tailored to students’ individual
characteristics and needs helps graduates develop strong practical
competitiveness as field experts. In addition, the department actively operates
academic cooperation programs with leading overseas universities to foster
global perspectives and competencies. Despite being an online university, Seoul
Cyber University has established a nationwide industry-academia-research
network to provide robust field education and practicum opportunities.
Graduates can pursue careers in various fields, including public service in
social welfare, researchers in social welfare and social service sectors,
social enterprise establishment consultants, directors of social service
centers, directors of senior and child care centers, and professional
practitioners in social welfare institutions and facilities. The Department of Psychology
& Counseling master’s and doctoral programs boast the largest number of
full-time faculty members in Korea and a top-tier educational infrastructure,
aiming to cultivate creative psychological professionals who will lead the
future knowledge society. To train counseling psychologists, clinical
psychologists, and coaching psychology specialists who can support individuals’
adaptation and resolve psychological issues in today’s diverse, multicultural
society, the department offers a differentiated curriculum through four tracks:
Counseling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, Coaching Psychology, and General
Psychology. Students can participate in counseling practicum and certification
training programs through five psychology counseling centers (Seoul main
campus, Bundang, Incheon, Daegu, and Gwangju), as well as partnerships with
counseling institutions nationwide, gaining hands-on experience with real
cases. Graduates can work as counseling psychology professionals, clinical
psychology professionals, or coaching psychology specialists. Responding to the
global expansion of K-beauty and the convergence of technologies in the Fourth
Industrial Revolution era, the Department of Beauty Industry Studies master’s
and doctoral programs aim to cultivate professionals with expertise and
research capabilities across the cosmetics industry, beauty technology, and
medical beauty. The program nurtures next-generation leaders who combine
professionalism and creativity in the fields of cosmetics industry, beauty tech
& art, and medical & silver beauty, offering industry-oriented
education closely aligned with practice, including AI and big data, AR/VR-based
beauty tech research, global brand strategies, and medical and silver beauty
care. The Department of
Music master’s and doctoral programs cultivate future-oriented professional
musicians through interdisciplinary education that integrates art, scholarship,
and therapy within a flexible learning environment that combines online and
offline instruction. The program consists of three specialization tracks Vocal,
Piano, and Music Therapy and fosters individuals with both artistic sensitivity
and professional expertise through practical performance, clinical activities,
and academic research. The Department of AI
Convergence Technology master’s and doctoral programs aim to train X+AI
professionals with practical competencies spanning problem definition,
modeling, validation, and application by integrating AI with various
engineering-based fields, including computer science, information security,
electrical and electronic engineering, mechanical control, drones, media, and
technology entrepreneurship. Students gain a balanced understanding of AI
theory and practice, develop real-world problem-solving skills through
Python-based hands-on training, and strengthen interdisciplinary convergence
capabilities by applying AI across diverse engineering domains. The program
cultivates experts equipped with machine learning and deep learning modeling
skills as well as generative AI utilization capabilities. Graduate School Dean Kim Hwan stated, “Building on the strengths and know-how that Seoul Cyber University Graduate School has accumulated since its establishment, we will make every effort to create the optimal educational environment for our students at the leading general graduate school among cyber universities.” He added, “Starting in 2026, with the newly established departments of Beauty Industry Studies, Music, and AI Convergence Technology, in addition to the existing Social Welfare and Counseling & Clinical Psychology departments, we will enhance educational quality and strengthen student support systems, while continuously developing educational programs aimed at creating a future-oriented learning environment and nurturing practical and creative talents.” |
