             Department of Integrated Health Holds
2nd Special Lecture Inviting Celebrities - On November 1st(Sat), it will be held in the grand
lecture room on the 2nd floor of the A building  - "Body-Mind Harmony: The Healing Way to Open
with Temple Food" by the temple food master Daeahnsung  ![]() The Department of
Integrated Health will host the 2nd Distinguished Guest Lecture on November 1st(Sat),
at the university’s Main Building A, 2nd Floor Grand Lecture Hall. Daeahnsung,
a master of traditional temple cuisine, will deliver a lecture titled “Harmony
of Body and Mind: The Healing Path Opened by Temple Food.” 
 
 
 Master Daeahnsung currently
serves as the abbot of Geumsuam Temple and Chairman of the Geumdang Traditional
Food Research Institute. He previously served as the Director of the Buddhist
Studies Research Institute of the Jogye Order of Korean Buddhism and holds a
Ph.D. in Science from Dongguk University. As one of the first-generation
masters of temple cuisine, he has played a leading role in promoting the
healing and cultural values of traditional Buddhist food. 
 
 
 The lecture was planned
by Advisor Kim Na Yeon and Professor Lee Min Young, and will be conducted
offline for current students, freshmen, and prospective applicants. A recorded
version of the lecture will later be made available on the university’s
official YouTube channel. 
 
 
 Professor Lee Min Young
stated, “I hope our students will not miss this valuable opportunity to meet a
distinguished guest in person,” adding that, “The Department of Integrated
Health will continue to organize a variety of lectures, including guest
lectures, special programs, and international academic seminars for the benefit
of our students.” 
 
 
 Previously, on
September 30th(Tue), the department hosted its first Distinguished
Guest Lecture, featuring Distinguished Professor Lee Si Hyung, who spoke on
“Immune Revolution and Integrated Health: The Path to Sustainable Health.” The
department plans to continue offering the Distinguished Guest Lecture and
Integrated Health Special Lecture series. 
 
 
 As the only department of its kind in the country, the Department of Integrated Health boasts an excellent faculty and focuses on studying how to maintain and enhance health, prevent and heal diseases by utilizing the body’s innate natural healing power. Integrated medicine combines the achievements of modern Western medicine with the strengths of complementary and alternative medicine. Based on this perspective, the department aims to cultivate integrated healing professionals through practical education in natural healing theories and techniques.  |
