Successful Completion of SCU's Training Workshop for Elearning Capacity Building | |||

Seoul Cyber University completed its training workshop for e-learning capacity building for El Salvador University (UES) and El Salvador University of Technology (UTEC) from April 27 to May 5.
The training workshop was planned to create an opportunity for SCU to share with partner universities its e-learning model and support development of e-learning policy and program management skills that meet local conditions for El Salvador.
The opening ceremony was attended by officials from each university and foreign ministry officials from El Salvador including H.E. Milton Alshides Magagnia Elena, ambassador to South Korea, and Dr. Eunju Lee, the president of SCU.
Eleven experts, including five from each university and an e-learning official from El Salvador's ministry of foreign affairs, participated in the training session, starting with a special lecture by Dr. Sang-hyun JANG, head of the Academic Bureau of the Korean Educational Research and Information Service (KERIS), who discussed the application of the training materials in El Salvador University programs.
Basic skills and methodologies needed to develop action plans for e-learning guidelines that can be locally implemented were shared along with cases of benchmarked e-learning system for higher education in the global e-learning industry.
"The university officials from El Salvador were greatly impressed by SCU's training workshops and responded with great enthusiasm for lectures," said Dr. Youngae JUNG, the vice president of SCU. "We hope to continue our communication while ensuring that El Salvador achieves meaningful results in the future." |
