SCU is designated as a recipient organization for public-private partnership subsidy by Korea International Cooperation Agency(KOICA) in 2018, a donor agency of Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Its project for public-private partnership aims to subsidize civilian organizations that contribute to reduction of poverty and economic and social development of developing nations. SCU's Project for Supporting El Salvador's E-learning System for Higher Education will include cooperative research, provision of consultancy, support of development of the e-learning curriculum, and support of material needs.
Milton A. Magana, ambassador of the Embassy of El Salvador in Korea, requested SCU for consultancy on e-learning for a university in El Salvador in 2016. In the following year, Carlos M. Canjura, the minister of education and SCU had an MoU, officializing the partnership with SCU on e-learning for higher learning in El Salvador. From 2018 to 2020, SCU will be subsidized by KOICA for its project of supporting E-learning System for Higher Education in El Slavador.
