Department of Voice Holds Its 7th Annual Concert

The Department of Voice will hold its 7^th Annual Concert at 3:00 p.m. on October 3^rd (Sat), at Youngsan Art Hall. Anyone interested in vocal music is welcome to attend, and further details are available on the Department of Voice website.

This year’s annual concert will be an opera ensemble celebration featuring a total of 32 performers: 17 sopranos, 8 tenors, 5 baritones, and 2 pianists, coming together on one stage. The concert will offer a diverse and moving program featuring familiar and beautiful choral works.

Son Ji Su, Head of the Department of Voice, said, “Seoul Cyber University’s Department of Voice is leading the field of classical music education as the first department of voice established at a cyber university in Korea. Through our online and offline education system, our distinguished faculty provide systematic and differentiated music education, nurturing talented vocalists through customized instruction tailored to students with diverse backgrounds and skill levels. This concert will be a stage where, beyond each student’s individual voice, everyone comes together to create beautiful melodies as one. Meanwhile, Seoul Cyber University’s Department of Voice, established in 2018 as Korea’s first online department of vocal music, offers customized instruction that combines online and offline classes, enabling students including those with limited time to pursue their dreams of becoming vocalists anytime and anywhere. Students can receive high-quality, practice-oriented education, including online instruction on how to perform songs in challenging foreign languages, as well as courses in music theory such as Introduction to Vocal Music and Sight-Singing and Ear Training, along with diction, opera ensemble, stage acting, and a wide range of liberal arts courses.

The department also provides specialized practical training tailored to each student’s abilities through online and offline performance courses, one-on-one practical lessons, group lessons, masterclasses, and content-based lectures designed according to different levels of difficulty by year of study. Students also have access to professional lecture content delivered by distinguished faculty with extensive experience on stages around the world, as well as experience serving as judges for broadcasting programs and competitions, together with special lectures by renowned vocalists from Korea and abroad.
