Honorary Chairperson of the board of directors, Shin-young Kim, board of trustee chair membe, Dr. Se-Ung Lee, former Prime Minister, Won-sik Jung, former Minister of Education, Wan-gyu Jo, distinguished guests, students and alumni of Seoul Cyber University, I am very grateful for all of you who took time out of your busy schedule to attend this inauguration ceremony.

Seoul Cyber University has rapidly developed into the leading institution of cyber universities in Korea. Seoul Cyber University now plays a leading role in both the-state-of-the art technology and research for the benefit of students. It is my great honor to take this position in this fine school that all of you have put every effort to make the SCU of today, and yet I feel the enormous sense of mission and responsibility as well.

As a president I will do my best to provide the most excellent quality programs to meet the needs of students in the global era of Information Technology. I will try to lead them to respect the human dignity and to serve the public they belong to. I will encourage them to get a good sense of digilogue that encompasses both digital and analog through international exchange.
I`ll specially emphasize and focus on upgrading our school to a new dimension of educational community

Seoul Cyber University is still quite young. The `young" is beautiful with an infinite possibility and dream. Once the goal is set, the young make a dash for it. Established to provide an education based on Christian belief, Seoul Cyber University is just the place where your dream can be realized, the dream inspired by the belief of God, Hope and Love.

I`d like to ask the following to all the members of Seoul Cyber University and distinguished guests.

First, faculty members, please join actively the work of establishing the school that focuses on the service for students. Please strive for developing and operating the best educational contents, promoting lifelong education and cultivating people of talent who will devote their lives to the development of a humanistic culture and the union of all mankind. As a President I promise that I will do my very best to give my wholesome support to your efforts.

Secondly, I would like to share my appreciation to all the staff members who have devoted your time for operating academic affairs smoothly from the very beginning. Please think of your university as your own home because you are the ones who built this school and keep it running. Our quest to become a top level school also depends on you.

Now, my beloved students, please be proud to be a part at SCU, a new paradigm of education. Please keep on trying to make an image of educational community that embodies the life of love, truth, justice and service. Let us continue to create an atmosphere that is suitable for the word "cyber" which originates from the meaning, “steering the future”.

Last, I`d like to speak to the distinguished guests. As mentioned before, because our school is still young, we have unlimited possibility of advancement. That requirement for improvement will be our responsibility for eternity. Please continue to give us your interest and encouragement to our school.

I`d also like to express my deep appreciation to the Principals of Shin-il middle & high school, teachers and alumni, honorable guests and many others who have made SCU of today with their constant prayers. With this thankfulness and the mind of novice, I promise to build a solid institution based on the motto of Collaborative Partnership. However, it will not be possible without your full support and participation. Let us begin a walk together to make a new history of SCU, with a new resolution and pledge at this hour. Thank you.
